Cravings

If I didn't feel fabulous (except for the headache, got one for a few days when I did Alejandro Junger's Clean Program, I would give this up. But no joke, I am not hungry. Even at mealtimes, I am not starving. There are no cravings for carbs, there is no perusing the pantry, grabbing a candy bar in the Target line, ripping open some cookies at the grocery store, no Starbucks, it is very liberating.

Here is a list of things I crave:

White or Whole Wheat products: bread, pastas, rice
Sugar: cookies, candy, sweet condiments
Cheese: All Kinds - will eat like potato chips

These are things I don't crave but trigger cravings when I eat them:

Red meat: could eat pounds without getting full, get hungry for carbs
Shrimp: ditto
Alcohol: Drinking will awaken the sugar demon and cause me to crave carbs
Corn Chips: Will eat endless amounts but they don't cause me to crave other things
Condiments with lots of sugar: ketchup, salad dressings
White potatoes
caffeine
less than 7 hours of sleep

Things you would think would cause cravings but don't:

Fruit
Sweet Potatoes
Stevia (natural no calorie sweetner)
sugarless gum

Right now there are a lot of things I don't eat but I don't feel deprived. The only time I feel somewhat deprived is at a party. With time, I think this will go away

What I eat:

All fruits
All vegetables
Brown Rice
Rice pasta
almond milk
tea
quinoa
almonds

It doesn't sound very good but it is delicious. You find yourself trying all different fruits and veges just to widen your choice. It is amazing how taking away choices can bring you freedom.
