De-toxing

Yes, I am trying what might be the latest gimmick. I have excluded dairy (I'm using almond milk for my tea), red meat and pork, caffeine, sugar, chocolate, alcohol and wheat. I am drinking lots of veggie soup, some chicken, brown rice and buckwheat cereal.

I'm on day 2 after reading Clean by Alejandro Junger. Before I started I'd been eating no sugar or wheat products for 6 days a week and then having a food fest on Sundays. I managed to gain 3 to 4 pounds during the festivities and would then loose the weight by the following Sunday. I think I can maintain my weight with this nefarious program but it is not ideal. I am hoping on this clean program to lose weight and detox and then maintain. I was at a party a couple of months ago and someone commented on my bloodshot eyes. I realized my eyes are always bloodshot. According to the book, this will clear up when I detox.

So far I am feeling good.
